2025 Bentley Bentayga Speed Is The Brand’s Fastest SUV With 4-Litre Twin-Turbo V8
The British automaker’s fastest SUV to date is the new Bentley Bentayga Speed. The 2025 Bentayga Speed’s weight is significantly decreased by replacing the W12 engine with a smaller V8. Additionally, Bentley asserts that the most recent Bentayga Speed has a higher top speed, is more powerful, and can sprint from rest more quickly.
The 2025 Bentley Bentayga Speed is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque when mated to an 8-speed automated gearbox. With a top speed of 310 kph, the Bentayga Speed SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.6 seconds. The new powerplant produces 15 horsepower more than its predecessor’s 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, which produced 635 horsepower and 900 Nm; only torque is somewhat reduced by 50 Nm. The W12’s 3.9-second 0 to 100 kph time and 306 kph top speed are also greatly outperformed by the V8 Bentayga Speed. For further “power, drama, and potency of the V8,” an optional Akrapovic titanium system is offered in addition to the standard sports exhaust.

The new Bentayga Speed’s smaller engine contributes significantly to its 42kg weight reduction for a kerb weight of 2,466kg. Additionally, Bentley engineers have redesigned the drive modes, such as the Sport mode, which relaxes ESC to allow for “exhilarating drift angles” and boosts the dampers’ stiffness by 15%. In the meantime, the rear-wheel steering helps with both high-speed stability and low-speed maneuverability.
The 22-inch wheels and Speed logos on the flanks make the 2017 Bentayga SUV stand out. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also available for the optional 23-inch wheels. On the interior, there are Speed logos on the treadplates and dashboard, a modified arrangement for the digital driver’s display, and matching Speed embroidery on the seats.

The new Speed also has rear-wheel steering that improves stability and maneuverability, a sport exhaust for nice noises (and an Akrapovic substitute if you really want to yell), and a Sport mode that stiffens the dampers and loosens the stability control to allow drifting—exactly what you need on a 2.5-ton SUV.
Darkened brightwork, new 22-inch alloys (23-inch with ceramic brakes), external “Speed” badges, modified infotainment and meter panel, speed badges on the dashboard and treadplates, leather contrast highlights, and a new upholstery quilting pattern are some of the cosmetic changes brought in.
