Mercedes-Benz has launched the new E-Class in India at Rs 78.5 lakh, in LWB form sold only in India in a long wheelbase format. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is available with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The sixth generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class is available in three variants, with its prices ranging from Rs 78.5 lakh to Rs 92.5 lakh, with New E-Class e200 priced at Rs 78.50 lakh, New E-Class e220d: Rs 81.50 lakh and New E-Class e450 4MATIC priced at Rs 92.50 lakh. The new E-Class would compete with the BMW 5 series and the Audi A6.
The Aesthetics of the E-Class
The new E-Class is updated with features like new grille design, updated LED headlights, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The luxury sedan is available in five colour options like High Tech Silver, Graphite Grey, Polar White, Obsidian Black, and Nautic Blue. The epitome of luxury, the E-class has the biggest highlight which is the 14.4-inch infotainment system with Mercedes’ MBUX system, fully digital cockpit, four-zone climate control, rear seats with a recline function, electric blinds for the second row, a panoramic sunroof, power closing function for all doors, and a Burmester music system.

Engine specifications
With three engine choices, the E-Class gets a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 204bhp. The second powertrain on offer is a 2.0-litre diesel mill that makes 197bhp. Both these engines are mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system and a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The third engine is a 3.0-litre turbo petrol unit with the range-topping E450 petrol 4MATIC version that churns 381bhp and 500Nm of torque, while a nine-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels. Mercedes has opened bookings for the 200 and 220d, while booking for the E450 will begin in November.
