Anand Gopal Mahindra of Mumbai-based business conglomerate and an Indian billionaire businessman, is the current chairman of Mahindra Group.
The concept video shared on X gives a preview of a five-door electric version of Thar SUV. By sharing it, Mr Mahindra has now confirmed that it will not remain as a prototype for demonstration but will enter into production in the near future.
Mahindra will enter into the production of Thar.e EV by the year 2025, says reports.
The upcoming EV concept is based on its flagship off-road SUV Thar, but with an entire different spectacular look.
It was introduced at an event in South Africa on 15 August. “Throw out the rule books. Introducing the THAR.e, a legend reborn with an electric vision, wrote Mahindra Automotive on X unveiling the EV vision.
“The Mahindra Advanced Design Europe going beyond pushing boundaries. Our electric vision, the legend, Re.born electric. Explore the revolution. The Electric revolution revised. Thar.e”, the introduction video that spans around two mintues says.
Mahindra is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers by production in India. Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, a leader in automotive, farm and services businesses has it is headquarters in Mumbai. It was established in 1945 as Mahindra & Mohammed and later renamed as Mahindra & Mahindra.
Mahindra has not yet revealed any details on the powertrain, battery, and performance of Thar.e, reported the Hindustan Times.
