Caught On Kiss Cam: Astronomer CEO's Concert Moment With Colleague Sparks Viral Storm — Who Are They?

What was meant to be a night of music and celebration at a Coldplay concert in Boston has turned into an unexpected PR crisis for Astronomer, a fast-growing tech firm, after its CEO, Andy Byron, was caught on a Kiss Cam in an intimate moment with the company’s Chief Public Officer, Kristin Cabot.

As the British band played to a packed stadium on Wednesday night, cameras panned to various audience members during a Kiss Cam segment. When the feed landed on Byron and Cabot, the two were standing closely, Byron’s arms visibly wrapped around Cabot’s waist, mirroring the kind of casual affection typically seen between couples.

Visibly startled by the unexpected attention, the two executives looked nervous and taken aback. Byron turned away almost immediately, while Cabot attempted to shield her face from the big screen, triggering speculation from both the live audience and the wider internet after footage of the moment quickly went viral.

The situation escalated further after Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, was observed to have removed her married surname from her Facebook profile, leading to widespread speculation about tensions in the couple’s personal life and the possibility of an impending separation or divorce. Neither Byron nor Cabot has publicly responded to the incident yet.

However, in the hours following the incident, a statement allegedly issued by Andy Byron began circulating on X (formerly Twitter), in which he appeared to confess to infidelity and issued a public apology.

“I want to acknowledge the moment that was captured… I deeply regret my actions and the hurt they’ve caused. I apologise to my wife, my children, and my extended family. I take full responsibility,” he reportedly wrote.

While Astronomer has not confirmed the authenticity of the statement, the message has added fuel to public speculation.
