Hundreds Of Indian Business Men Are Scared To Speak Out Against Monopolis: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi’s recent write-up draws attention to the matter and emphasises the need for a fair and competitive business environment in India as he wrote in an ep-ed today.

He argues that the country’s history has been marred by monopolistic forces which dates back to the East India Company which exploited India’s resources and stifled competition among the compatriots.

Today, Rahul Gandhi asserts a new breed of monopolists has emerged who wield significant control over India’s economy and institutions. He said that they possess immense wealth and control over private and even public institutions.

He stated that these powerful groups have amassed whopping revenue while smaller businesses struggle to survive in India.

Rahul Gandhi noted that hundreds of Indian business leaders are scared to speak out against these monopolists. The poor entrepreneurs feared reprisals, raids, and sabotage which pulled them back from calling the giants out.

He also contrasts these monopolistic groups with “play-fair” Indian businesses that innovate and operate ethically. It means that small-scale entrepreneurs should choose freedom over fear against match-fixing monopolies.

He cited examples like Lenskart, TCS, Tynor, InMobi and Zomato which have succeeded despite the odds. These companies demonstrate that fair play and innovation can thrive in India, according to Rahul Gandhi.
