India Set To Host 18th BRICS Summit Next Month In New Delhi
New Delhi: On September 12 and 13, India will host the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi as part of India’s BRICS Chairship. India is currently heading BRICS as the chair for 2026, and the summit will bring together leaders of BRICS Member and Partner Countries to New Delhi.
Leaders are expected to exchange views on strengthening intra-BRICS cooperation on common priorities and share perspectives on global and regional matters of mutual importance.

“The deliberations will contribute to deeper financial cooperation among BRICS countries, with a focus on development finance, digital finance and emerging challenges for developing economies, strengthening knowledge-driven engagement across the Global South,” official X handle of 18th BRICS Summit noted.

Guided by the them “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability” India’s BRICS Presidency tenure started in January this year. India is one of the founding members of BRICS and has previously held the Chairhip in 2012, 2016 and 2021.

Over 350 meetings and high-level engagements have been held in over 25 cities across the country under India’s Chairship this year. The meets include political and security, economic and financial, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
