SpiceJet, the Indian low-cost airline’s flights from Mumbai were anticipated to pause operations from Tuesday, however, Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) has deleted a tweet about this after an hour of posting it. The MIAL is under the Adani Group, as the reports, the sudden disruptions were due to non-payment of dues by SpiceJet. It has opened the way for major discussions with several stakeholders on the payment dues.

According to the reports, the issue has been resolved as a new announcement from SpiceJet stated that flight operations to and from Mumbai will function as usual. The passenger advisory issued by MIAL has been pulled back and there will be no disruptions for any SpiceJet flights, and both parties have worked collaboratively to settle the trivial financial matters, the airline added.

However, there have been concerns raised on the X platform stating that most SpiceJet flights witness delays for several hours and the operations out of Mumbai today are already rescheduled in many cases.

Meanwhile, SpiceJet went through major disruptions in its operations in flight movements as five flights from Ahmedabad were delayed resulting in a perplexing situation as passengers entered a frenzy waiting for three to seven hours.

It was said that SpiceJet Airline has been coping with financial woes as the employees’ salary was delayed in July and struggled to raise funds, sending a letter to employees regarding financial issues. As per the reports, the Mumbai Aiport issue was centred on the delay in rental payments and parking charges and was later resolved to continue the flight operations at Mumbai Aiport.
