The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) published the outcomes of an extensive institute-wide review for the period 2018 – 2022 in two phases. In Phase One, conducted over several months in 2023, various academic units were individually reviewed, each by a specialized external committee. In Phase Two, the institutional review committee, consisting of eminent experts from India and abroad assessed the overall progress of the institute.
The Institute Review was conducted during February 21 – 23, 2024. The committee members observed the campus infrastructure and interacted with all the stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, and alumni. They visited laboratories, classrooms, and interacted with faculties, students, staff as well as startups at IIT Bombay. They compiled a comprehensive set of observations and offered valuable insights in the form of actionable suggestions and recommendations.
