The 165 students of the Institute of Management Studies, BHU were offered a total of 181 offers, with an average package of Rs 11.1 lakh. Reportedly, the highest package received by the student is Rs 23.5 lakh per annum.
As per the information given by the placement cell, this year’s recruitment featured over 65 companies including Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, Reliance Retail, Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Digit General Insurance, Visa Steel, Bajaj Asset Management, UNIQLO, Amul and Escorts Kubota.

The placement coordinator at the faculty of management studies, BHU, Dr Ashutosh Mohan said that students from various courses including MBA, MBA international business, and MBA agribusiness were offered a total of 181 packages with an incredible package of an average of Rs 11.1 lakh. According to Dr Mohan, the offers establish a new benchmark for the forthcoming year.
Around 36% of the students are offered executive and management trainee roles with profiles including MT sales and marketing, MT- business, MT strategy and projects, MT finance, MT-alliance and electronic payments, and MT-retail operations. Nearly 21% of students got associate and senior consultant roles and 13% got assistant and deputy manager roles.
IT organizations such as Cognizant, Infosys, Genpact, Veear Analytics, Hexaware Technologies, Acxiom Consulting, MRCC Group, and Loyalty Juggernaut offered consultation and analytics opportunities. Firms such as South Indian Bank, Bandhan Bank, Jana Bank, SBI Life, ICICI Pru AMC, and UTI Mutual Funds provided positions in marketing, finance, operations, and HR in the BFSI sector.

As per the university official, the institute has been working on improving the employability skills of students and preparing them to embark on rewarding careers. Several initiatives including personality development programs, corporate engagements, summer training, simulated aptitude tests, group discussions, and personalized mock interviews were held by the institute to improve their chances of getting employment opportunities.
