CBSE To Organise Virtual Conclave To Promote Mental Health Awareness On Oct 4

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organizing a virtual conclave on October 4, 2024, to promote mental health awareness and support within school communities across the country. The program is held in observance of World Mental Health Week from October 4 to October 10.

On September 11,  the National Counselors conclave on ‘Shaping the Landscape of Well-Being in Schools’ was also held.

The upcoming conclave will delve into crucial aspects of mental health support in educational settings. It aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to empower school leaders and counselors to address students’s psychosocial needs effectively.

The conclave underscores the importance of mental health in achieving holistic education goals through professional skills, training, development, and exchange of best practices.

The conclave is scheduled on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 3 pm to 4 pm and the participation link has also been shared by the CBSE.

Topics of the program will include:

  • Global Support Systems for School Mental Health: Exploring best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Strategies for Supporting Students with Psychosocial Challenges: Fostering emotional resilience and adjustment through collaboration between teachers, counselors, and families.

  • Leadership in Mental Health: Highlighting the vital role of school principals in creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

However, only 1,000 participants will be allowed to join the program. All principals, heads of affiliated schools, school counselors, teachers, and wellness educators will participate in the virtual conclave.
