Delhi, Noida Schools Face Bomb Threats Amid CBSE Exams
The country has recently observed several instances of bomb threats amid the ongoing board exams. On Wednesday, several schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails while students were appearing for the CBSE board exam. The threats triggered emergency measures, forcing evacuation and security checks at the examination centres.
Reportedly, the bomb threats were received at CRPF Public School and St Thomas School, Dwarka, and DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave in Delhi.
Soon after the alerts, Delhi Police deployed bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and local administration officials at all affected school campuses. Initial searches did not uncover any suspicious or explosive material. The evacuation and checks caused temporary disruption, but officials ensured that student safety remained the top priority during the examination period.
The Delhi Police confirmed that the cybercrime units have started tracing the sources of the threat emails. Technical details are being observed to establish whether the threats were hoaxes or part of a larger attempt to create panic during the exam season.
Similar, threatening emails were received by dozens of schools in, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida. Following the information multiple teams were dispatched and extensive searches in all schools were conducted. However, nothing substantial was found and emails seem to be a hoax.
Following the threats, authorities have increased vigilance at schools conducting the CBSE exams across Delhi. Police patrols and monitoring have intensified to prevent panic and ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.
