The Health Ministry has addressed recent allegations concerning the purported leak of the NEET PG 2024 examination papers, for the exam that has been scheduled for August 11. The ministry, in a statement, described these claims of NEET PG paper leak as unfounded and misleading. The ministry asserted that such reports, primarily circulated through social media platforms, are entirely false and cautioned aspirants against falling prey to these deceitful schemes.
In response to the rumours, the ministry disclosed that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had become aware of unscrupulous agents using platforms like Telegram to spread misinformation. These agents are allegedly offering NEET-PG 2024 questions in exchange for a significant amount of money. The ministry stated that NBEMS has already taken legal action by filing a police complaint against these fraudsters and their associates, who have been attempting to deceive NEET-PG candidates with promises of leaked exam questions.
The Health Ministry reassured candidates that the NEET-PG 2024 question papers are yet to be finalized, and any claims of paper leaks are baseless. They strongly urged candidates not to be misled by any individuals or channels, particularly those associated with the Telegram channel “NEET-PG LEAKED MATERIAL,” which is falsely claiming to have access to the exam questions.
The ministry further warned that any direct or indirect involvement in these fraudulent activities or the dissemination of unverified rumours would be dealt with severely by NBEMS. They encouraged candidates who encounter such offers or are approached by agents promising undue favours or access to leaked papers to report the incident immediately. The Ministry provided a Communication Web Portal for this purpose and also suggested contacting local police for further investigation.
In a stern message to the public, the Ministry reiterated that all candidates should remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to scams that seek to exploit their aspirations. They emphasised the importance of maintaining integrity in the examination process and the severe consequences for those attempting to undermine it.
Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in Supreme Court demanding to postpone the NEET PG exam. The exam, already marred in controversy with candidates complaining about exam centre’s allocation, is scheduled to be held on August 11. As per reports, petitioners raised the issues with the allocation of exam centres and concerns about the normalisation of marks for two batches.
