Students from IIT Delhi have received around 1050 job offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs) after the phase 1 of the placement season of the academic year 2023-24. From around 20 international organizations, more than 50 students received international job offers that span across Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United States and United Kingdome.
Official statement from the Office Of Career Service of IIT Delhi said that the top recruiters also include Air India, Texas Instrument, Microsoft, Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric and Microsoft. The Office Of Caree Service of IIT Delhi said, “though it was anticipated to be a difficult year, we have done reasonably well in Phase 1 of the placement session”. The Professor Incharge of the office, Prof. R. Ayothiramam also added thanked the recruiters for believing in the IIT Delhi students’ “talent and potential and providing offers at this scale”. He also added that the Office Of Career Services of the institution is trying to get to more companies/profiles in phase 2. The phase 2 will start in mid-January.
Majority of the students that received the jobs ae placed in Technical sector, which was followed by IT sector. The placement season for full time hiring of the institute’s undergraduate and postgraduate students spans from December to May. The selection process include the efforts of student coordinators, volunteers along with the industry players across multiple domains. The Industrial Liaison Officer of the Office of Career Service of IIT Delhi, Dr. Anishya O. Madan, said the core sectors has picked more students than previous year.
