M K Stalin Accuses Dharmendra Pradhan For Blackmailing Over NEP And Three-Language Formula

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin accused Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan of ‘blackmailing’ for not allowing funds until the National Education Policy (NEP) and the three-language formula are implemented. CM Stalin shared a post on ‘X’ of Pradhan saying that Tamil Nadu has to come to constitutional terms, and the three-language policy is the rule of law.

Pradhan said that the DMK regime not agreeing to the NEP is politically motivated and they have to accept the NEP in letter and spirit.

Calling the term of accepting National Education Policy and implementing a three-language policy for the release of education funds as unacceptable, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister accused Pradhan of ‘blackmail.’

Reportedly, Stalin said that the state sought its due and did not claim the personal wealth of the central minister. Delhi would have to witness the trait of the Tamil People, the CM said.

Stalin also asked Pradhan to clear the constitutional provision that mandates the three language policy of English, the respective regional language, and Hindi. Education is the concurrent list of the Constitution, and the union government cannot claim it to be their exclusive domain, the CM said.

Also, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi appealed to the Union Education Minister to not play ‘politics’ in education and to release Rs 2,152 crore to the state.
