While addressing a public meeting relating to the national conference of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) on the Kozhikode beach on Monday (June 30), Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Kerala does not approve of the National Education Policy (NEP) being implemented by the Modi government, the Hindu reports.
The Chief Minister asserted that the NEP presented a grave threat to the country by disseminating wrong information to the future generations. He further stated that the BJP was implementing the policy “at the behest of” the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), an organisation that played no part in India’s freedom struggle.”

“The BJP and the RSS will feel uncomfortable if the students are taught the country’s real history. So, attempts are being made to change it. Our freedom struggle is being presented in a different way. V.D. Savarkar, who wrote mercy petitions to the British authorities to get himself released from the Andaman jail, is being portrayed as a brave person. Mahatma Gandhi is shown in a different light and Nathuram Vinayak Godse, his assassin, is being glorified,” the Hindu quoted, as Vijayan saying.
The Chief Minister further attacked the RSS, stating it adopted the organisational structure of the National Fascist Party led by Benito Mussolini in Italy and the political ideals of the Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Party in Germany.
According to Vijayan, the RSS had also “supported Hitler’s genocide of Jews” as a solution to Germany’s internal challenges. He claimed that the RSS had said that the German model of the Holocaust was worthy of emulation.

Continuing further, Chief Minister alleged that the BJP government supported Israel after its attack on Gaza in Palestine because of the RSS’ inclination towards Zionism. “The RSS and the Zionists are like twins,” he said. He added that by doing this, the BJP had followed the same route taken by previous Congress governments in weakening India’s anti-imperialist foreign policy.
Today marked the conclusion of the four-day national conference of the SFI.
