NEET PG 2024 Exam Date Rescheduled For June 23, 2024 (image: pixabay)
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has decided to reschedule the NEET PG 2024 examination date once again. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for postgraduate courses will be conducted now on June 23, 2024. The decision to change the exam date has been taken twice by the board, as earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on March 3 and later on July 7, 2024.
The candidates are advised to check the exact dates of the examination and further updates at the websites, nbe.edu.in, natboard.edu.in. As per the official information, the result will be declared on July 15, 2024, and the counseling process will start from August 5 to October 15, 2024. The academic session will begin on September 16, and the last date for joining is October 21, 2024.
The Commission has also decided that to be eligible for the exam, the cutoff date for completion of the internship for NEET PG 2024 is August 15, 2024.
NEET PG is conducted for medical aspirants for the various postgraduate courses relating to medicine. It replaced the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) conducted earlier. The application forms for the NEET PG 2024 are expected to be released in April next month.
The exam is conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT) comprising 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The NEET is held in 162 test centers across the country.
The National Board of Examinations, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare undertakes NEET PG while the counseling and seat allotment is supervised by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
