The new dates are as follows:

– NCET 2024: July 10, 2024
– Joint CSIR-UGC NET: July 25 to 27 July, 2024
– UGC NET June 2024: August 21 to September 4, 2024

The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will proceed as scheduled on 06 July 2024, the NTA said in a statement.

As per reports, the UGC-NET that was held on June 18 faced a serious breach and its question  paper was leaked 48 hours earlier and sold on the dark web and encrypted social media platforms for Rs 6 lakh. The Education Ministry cancelled the exam a day after it was held for more than nine lakh candidates, citing input from the anti-cybercrime unit.

UGC-NET, a national level eligibility cum entrance test administered by the University Grants Commission, serves as a qualifying exam for appointments to professorial roles in universities and colleges, as well as for fellowships.

On June 21, already reeling under the scrutiny for the mismanagement of medical entrance exam NEET and UGC NET, the NTA postponed another government examination – Joint CSIR-UGC-NET. The NTA had quoted ‘unavoidable circumstances as well as logistic issues’ as reasons for the postponement for the exam that was earlier scheduled between June 25 and June 27.
