Following the alleged irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 examinations, a high-level committee was created to deliberate on the improvements required to conduct examinations, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) reforms received more than 37,000 suggestions. Out of these, nearly 30,000 came from students and candidates who have appeared in the various competitive exams.
The panel is expected to meet several students whose suggestions are under review, as per the Times of India.

Various exam options are available based on their purposes, such as NEET and JEE for admission to professional courses, while CUET-UG and UGC-NET are for undergraduate admissions in general universities.
Reportedly, experts from IIT-Kanpur, including Debapriya Roy and Amey Karkare, who are well-versed with machine learning, applied cryptography and hardware security have been consulted by the high-level committee, headed by former ISRO chief K. Radhakrishnan.
Several agencies with experience in conducting exams have also been consulted. All exam modes, with regards to their different purposes and numbers, have been explored. A detailed report on its recommendations will be submitted by the panel by August 24.
After serious allegations of paper leaks and irregularities surfaced, the Ministry of Education announced on June 22 that a high-level committee would be formed to probe the matter.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has been hearing petitions filed by students and coaching institutes demanding the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 exam conducted on May 5. The bench, led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, consists of Justices Manoj Misra and JB Pardiwala.

The top court stated that while there was no doubt that the “sanctity of the exam” had been compromised, the bench sought to determine the extent of the paper leak.
However, both the NTA and the government filed affidavits denying any mass malpractice in the NEET UG 2024 exam.
