Telangana Govt Steps Up To Support The Tribal Girl Who Secured Seat In IIT Patna But Forced To Graze Goats

To support the education of Badavath Madhulatha, the Telangana tribal girl who secured a seat at IIT Patna, but was forced to graze goats due to financial hardships, the Telangana government came forward to take care of her academic expenses. The young tribal girl might have lost the chance to get into the prestigious college if remained unable to submit the fee before July 27.

Madhulatha, a tribal student from Rajanna Sicilla village in Telangana secured 824th rank in the IIT JEE examination and secured a seat in IIT Patna. However, financial conditions seem to block her way to kick start her academic career ahead as her father is ill and the girl has to provide financial support to her family. Madhulatha had secured a seat in IIT Patna by paying an amount of Rs 17,500 as a seat acceptance fee on June 29 but her tuition fee remained to be submitted before July 27.

Upon noticing the news in the daily newspaper in the district, the Telangana government taking prompt action decided to support Madhulatha.  The state government’s timely intervention seems to give wings to her dream as the government will support the tuition fee for Madhulatha.

The state government notified that Badavath Madhulatha has secured a good rank in the ST category in JEE Mains and got a seat allotted in Engineering Physics at IIT Patna Bihar. However, she is unable to submit Rs 3 lakh and requested to pay for the college fee which includes accommodation and other expenses.
