University Of Doha Announces Amiri Scholarship Program For STEM

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) announced the Amiri Scholarship program for students from Qatar and for foreign nationals to study in the STEM field in the country. The scholarship provides financial support to outstanding students to nurture creativity and innovation. The deadline for the application is May 30, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply via the official website – udst.edu.qa.

As per the President of UDST Dr. Salem Al Naemi, the scholarship offer aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 to offer equal educational opportunities to all students. The effort highlights the university’s commitment to fostering an environment of knowledge and innovation, he added.

The scholarship provides many benefits to the students which include

  • A full tuition fee waiver for a bachelor’s degree program
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage
  • Provision of accommodation and transportation
  • Visa processing fee coverage for international students
  • An annual economy class round-trip ticket (foreign nationals)

UDST Amiri Scholarship Program 2024: Eligibility

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must meet a set of criteria, with the key requirements

  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent (approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the state) with a minimum average of 90% score.
  • Successful completion of final year Math, Science (Chemistry/Biology/Physics), and any other program-specific entry requirements with at least a 90% score.
  • Applicants must be recent high school graduates, either in the same year or the year before the scholarship application.
