
UPSC CSE Main 2025 Registration Starts; Exams From Aug 22
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has begun the registration process for the Civil Services Examination Mains (CSE Mains) 2025. Candidates who have qualified for the prelims are eligible to apply. This year, a total of 14,161 candidates have cleared the UPSC CSE Prelims. To register, candidates must visit the official website – upsconline.nic.in and fill out the detailed application form (DAF). The last date to apply is June 25.
The UPSC CSE Mains is scheduled to begin on August 22 and will be held for five consecutive days. The General category candidates need to pay Rs 200 while candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories and female candidates are exempted from the fee.

Notably, UPSC released the prelims result on June 11, 2025. The cutoff marks are not released; only the list of selected candidates is released for the Prelims. As per UPSC rules, re-evaluation or rechecking is not permitted at any stage of the Civil Services Exam. UPSC releases individual marks for Prelims, but only after the entire exam cycle ends, including interviews. Marks and cut-offs will be released publicly then.
