AAP Releases Second List For Haryana Polls Amid Alliance Deadlock

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today announced the second list of candidates for Assembly Elections 2024 in the state of Haryana. The party released the second list after giving an ultimatum to the Congress to eighter finalise an alliance by Monday or AAP would release its list. In its first list, the AAP released 20 candidates amid uncertainty over seat-sharing with the Congress.

A total of nine candidate names have been released in the second list, and it includes Rita Bamaniya from Sadhaura constituency, rishan Bajaj from Thanesar, Hawa Singh from Indri,  Mukhtiyar Singh Bazigar from Ratia, Adv. Bhupendra Beniwal from Adampur, Chhatar Pal Singh from Barwala, Jawahar Lal from Bawal,  Pravesh Mehta from Faridabad and Abash Chandela from Tigaon.

The long-anticipated alliance between the AAP and Congress for Haryana Assembly elections seems to be collapsed as the latter’s offer was not agreed by the former. The alliance did not work as the AAP was not satisfied with the number of seats and quality of constituencies offered by the Congress, according to media reports citing party sources.
