The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is hoping to win Palakkad in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The party has once again fielded C Krishnakumar from the Lok Sabha constituency. Krishnakumar is positive that he will bring in victory this time.

According to the NDA candidate, the support he received during the 2019 Lok Sabah election was promising. He was able to make a strong presence in that election by increasing the votes from 1,36,000 from election before to 2,18,000 in 2019. Krishnakumar said this time the party will open an account in Palakkad.

Talking to media, Krishnakumar said despite the constant victory, LDF (Left Democratic Front) and the UDF (United Democratic Front) in Palakkad has not known what development looks like. He said, though BJP did not have any MPs from Kerala and there was no state administration, the NDA government has not forgotten Kerala. Krishnakumar claimed that the Modi government has given ‘unprecedented’ developments to Palakkad and hopes that the continuation of the development projects will turn into votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Krishnakumar commented that the security of the people under the LDF government has become uncertain. Picking up on the rice shortage crisis, and the alleged ongoing discussion of infant deaths and lack of infrastructures in Attappady, the NDA candidates said these are speaking in high volume about the failure of people’s representatives in the district. Talking to Mathrubhumi, C Krishnakumar resonated what he said during the 2019 Lok Sabha election and claimed that the governance failure of both the fronts will become NDA’s vote.

Krishnakumar is pitted against Congress” VK Sreekandan and CPM”s A Vijayaraghavan.
