Chandrababu Naidu, a day after taking oath as the Andhra Pradesh chief minister, has allotted portfolios to 24 ministers in his Cabinet. This is the fourth time Naidu has taken charge as the chief minister of the state and the second time after the bi-furcation in 2014.
He was sworn in as the 18th chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leader of the NDA alliance at a grant event in Vijayawada.
Among the allotted portfolios, Chandrababu Naidu himself will be in charge of the Department of General Administration, Peace and Security.
While the actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief will be the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradhesh. He was appointed as the minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development with additional portfolios of Environment and Forests, and Science and Technology.
