Deoli Assembly Election Result: AAP's Prem Chauhan Leads

In Deoli, AAP’s Prem Chauhan wins with the margin of 36,680 votes. LJP (RV)’s Deepak Tanwar is in second position, and Congress’ Rajesh Chauhan came third. The Deoli Assembly constituency is one of the 70 Assembly constituencies of Delhi. Major candidates were AAP’s Prem Chauhan, Lok Janshakti Party(Ram Vilas) party’s Deepak Tanwar, and Congress’ Rajesh Chauhan.

During the 2020 Assembly election, AAP’s Prakash Jarwal won the seat with the margin of 40,173 votes. He own by defeating BJP’s Arvind Kumar who won 52,402 votes. Congress’ Arvinder Singh Lovely came third with 2,711 seats.

During the 2015 Assembly election, AAP’s Prakash Jarwal won the seat with the margin of 63,937 votes. He own by defeating BJP’s Arvind Kumar, and Congress’ Rajesh Chauhan.

Prakash Jarwal has been winning from the seat since 2013, ever since AAP started to contest in election. The party was formed in 2012. Before AAP taking over, Arvinder Singh Lovely won the seat for Congress.

The Assembly election in Delhi was held on February 5, with over 15 million voters casting their ballots across 70 constituencies. A total of 699 candidates, including 96 women, contested the elections.

The triangular contest in the national capital created palpable tension. While AAP and Congress are part of INDIA alliance on national level, the two parties are contesting against each other in Delhi. If BJP won the capital, it would be a huge comeback after 27 years.
