The Haryana assembly election 2024 shows that Mamman Khan from the Congress party won by 98,441 votes counting a total votes to 1, 30497 according to the Election Commission of India. Naseem Ahmed from the BJP lost and secured 32,056 votes. The Indian National Lok Dal (INDL) candidate Mohammed Habib lost by 1,14859 votes.
Mamman Khan is a prominent Indian politician from the Congress Party. He was born on April 4, 1967, in Bhadas, Ferozepur Jhirka. He studied civil engineering at Bengaluru University after completing high school in his hometown. Khan worked at DLF, a real estate development company and later founded a thriving construction supply firm before entering politics.
His political journey began with an independent run in the 2014 Ferozepur Jhirka Assembly elections, where he narrowly lost to Naseem Ahmed by 3,245 votes. However, he bounced back in 2019 winning the same election under the Indian National Congress banner by a significant margin of 37,004 votes against Ahmed. This victory was largely due to Ahmed’s switch from the Indian National Lok Dal to the Bharatiya Janata Party which is unpopular among the region’s predominantly Muslim Meos community and Khan’s candidacy ticket from the Congress. He is also part of the All India Congress Committee and previously served as the Working President of the District Congress Committee, Nuh.
Ferozepur Jhirka Assembly constituency falls under the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Indian National Congress (INC) led in this assembly segment. However, the Gurgaon Lok Sabha seat was won by Rao Inderjit Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), defeating Raj Babbar of the INC.

The independent candidates Mohd Hashim, Mumtaj Ahmed, Narender Kumar, and Waseem Zaffer from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also joined the fray.
