Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday hailed the significant voter turnout in the ongoing elections, describing it as a testament to the deep-rooted democratic consciousness and social commitment of the people of Kerala.

In a statement released shortly after polling concluded, the Chief Minister noted that the active participation of the public is highly commendable and serves as a clear reflection of the state’s vibrant political culture. The Chief Minister remarked that Kerala has always stood as a beacon for democratic values. He observed that the high level of engagement seen at the booths is a mirror held up to the progressive mindset and political maturity of the society. He further added that such massive participation strengthens the foundation of governance and ensures that the will of the people remains the ultimate authority in a functional democracy.
