Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Congress’ Ramesh Pisharody Wins Palakkad With 13,147 Vote Margin

As per Election Commission data, Ramesh Pisharody of the Indian National Congress has secured victory in the Palakkad constituency with 62,199 votes. He defeated BJP’s Sobha Surendran, who polled 49,052 votes.

Pisharody won the seat with a margin of 13,147 votes after the completion of all 11 rounds of counting. The margin reflects a clear advantage for the Congress candidate in the final results.

Independent candidate N. M. R. Razack finished third with 33,931 votes, trailing behind the top two candidates. The figures indicate that the main contest was between the Congress and BJP candidates in this constituency.

The consistent lead maintained by Pisharody during the counting process helped him secure the victory. The margin shows steady voter support for the Congress candidate across the constituency.
