Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: IUML’s Parakkal Abdulla Wins Kuttiadi, Secures 10,922 Vote Margin

Kerala: As per Election Commission data, Parakkal Abdulla of the Indian Union Muslim League has secured victory in the Kuttiadi constituency with 88,197 votes. He defeated K. P. Kunhammedkutty Master of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), who polled 77,275 votes.

Abdulla won the seat with a margin of 10,922 votes after the completion of all 17 rounds of counting. The result reflects a steady and consistent lead maintained by the IUML candidate throughout the counting process.

Ramadas Manaleri of the Bharatiya Janata Party finished third with 12,035 votes, far behind the top two candidates. The figures indicate that the main contest was primarily between the IUML and CPI(M) candidates.

The result shows strong voter support for Parakkal Abdulla across the constituency, allowing him to maintain control in a closely watched seat. The margin, while not extremely large, is decisive enough to confirm a clear win.

With this result, the IUML secures an important victory in Kuttiadi, strengthening its position in the overall election outcome.

The counting of votes for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections began at 8:00 am on Monday, marking the culmination of a high-stakes political battle among the United Democratic Front (UDF), the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
