Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Kerala Congress’ Mons Joseph Wins Kaduthuruthy By Huge 31,300 Votes

Kerala: As per Election Commission data, Adv. Mons Joseph of Kerala Congress has secured a massive victory in the Kaduthuruthy constituency, winning 70,353 votes. He defeated Nirmala Jimmy of Kerala Congress (M), who polled 39,053 votes.

Mons Joseph won the seat with a huge margin of 31,300 votes after the completion of all 15 rounds of counting. The very large difference in votes shows a clear and dominant performance by the Kerala Congress candidate.

The result indicates a one-sided contest in the constituency, with Mons Joseph maintaining a strong lead throughout the counting process. The margin is significantly high, suggesting strong voter support and a clear preference in favour of him.

On the other hand, the Kerala Congress (M) candidate Nirmala Jimmy was unable to close the gap at any stage of the counting, as the lead remained firmly with Mons Joseph.

With this result, Kaduthuruthy witnesses one of the most decisive victories in this election, strengthening the position of Kerala Congress in the region.

The counting of votes for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections began at 8:00 am on Monday, marking the culmination of a high-stakes political battle among the United Democratic Front (UDF), the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
