The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference candidate Tanvir Sadiq has emerged as a winning candidate in the Zadibal constituency in the J&K assembly election results 2024. The JKNC candidate defeated JK People Conference candidate Abid Hussain Ansari with a margin of 16173 votes. Zadibal Assembly constituency went for polls on September 25, 2024, in phase 2.
In 2014, Abid Hussain Ansari of JKPDP won the Zadibal seat by defeating JKNC candidate Peer Afaq Ahmad with a total of 4849 votes. The total votes were 18404. In 2008, JKNC candidate Aafaq Ahmed won the Zadibal seat by defeating JKPDP candidate. This year the JKNC candidate Tanvir Sadiq secured 22189 votes.
Sheikh Gowher Ali (JKPDP), Tanvir Sadiq (JKNC), Tanveer Hussain Pathan (JAKAP), Abid Hussain Ansari (JKPC), Aasiful Hassan (Independent), Burhan Basheer Bazaz (Independent), Junaid Azim Mattu (Independent), Sheikh Masoodi John (Independent), Mohammad Omar Hafiz (Independent), Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh (Independent) were the candidates who fought the J&K Assembly elections this year.
The National Conference has won the maximum seats in the Jammu and Kashmir in this assembly polls. NC Vice President Omar Abdullah has won his second seat in Ganderbal by a margin of 10,574 votes.
