The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Sham Lal Sharma is ahead of Jammu Kashmir National Conference candidate Ajay Kumar Sadhotra with an overall vote of 27363 in the Jammu North constituency.
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly comprises 90 seats, with 74 general seats, seven reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), and nine for Scheduled Tribes (ST). The first phase covers 24 constituencies, the second phase includes 26 constituencies and final phase, voting is held in 40 constituencies.
The first phase of elections took place on September 18, the second phase on September 25, and the third phase on October 1. Jammu and Kashmir went through elections after 10 years since 2014.
Jammu North constituency candidates belong to national, and regional parties and independent members.
