J&K Assembly Election Results 2024: Victory Of A Woman Candidate Shamim Firdous In Habbakadal Constituency

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference candidate Shamim Firdous is running ahead with 9536 votes to Ashok Kumar Bhat of Bharatiya Janata Party in Habbakadal constituency. This is one of the 90 assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir.

Habbakadal assembly constituency went for elections on September 25, 2024, under phase 2 of the Jammu and Kashmir elections in 2024.

In 2014, JKN candidate Shamim Firdous won the assembly elections securing 4955 votes (42.4%), and defeated BJP candidate Moti Koul. The total votes from the Habbakadal constituency were 11686. The JKN candidate also won the 2008 assembly elections defeating the BJP candidate. Once again making a hattrick, Shamim Firdous could win the assembly election from Habbakadal constituency.
