Congress on his official social media page on X, shared Mr Gandhi’s scooter ride and captioned as “Jannayak in Mizoram” and “Mohabbat is speeding up…”
Addressing the media, Mr Gandhi said that he wants people of Mizoram to take decisions for the future. Congress does not believe that Mizoram should be ruled from Delhi, instead they believe in “devolving power to the people of Mizoram,” he added.
When asked about upcoming Mizoram election, and party’s confidence in this regard, Mr Gandhi replied: “RSS has two ways of controlling in Mizoram. One is the ZPM and the other is the MNF. The Congress Party is ideologically opposed to the RSS. We will fight them tooth and nail in any corner of the country wherever they are. They understand that, we understand that. So, for them, these types of parties like the ZPM and the MNF… these are entry points and the people of Mizoram understand that very clearly. And that is why I am confident that the Congress Party will do very well.”
Similarly, on his official page on X, he wrote: “Mark my words, the Congress party is going to win in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Mizoram.”

On Monday, he kick-started the election campaign with a padayatra where he met and interacted with the local population. The march was from Chanmari junction to Raj Bhavan, and covering a distance of 4-5 km. After the event he addressed a public rally as well.
