‘Murder Of Dreams, Hope And Aspiration’ Rahul Gandhi Slams Against BRS Over Student Suicide

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS government in Telangana over the alleged suicide of 23-year-old woman preparing for competitive exams. Rahul Gandhi called it a murder of dreams and aspiration of youths. He also alleged that both the BJP and BRS has ruined the state in the last 10 years and added “BJP Rishtedar BRS and BJP together ruined the state with their incompetence”.

As part of election promise, Congress in Telangana has promised to release a job calendar and has guaranteed to reorganize TSPSC on the lines of UPSC in one month and also to fill two lakh vacant government posts within a year.

The women committed suicide at her hostel in Hyderabad’s Ashok Nagar earlier this week. And this has resulted in large number of protests in the area, large number of students raised slogans against the state government.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge alleged on X that she had to take this drastic step due to the repeated postponements in the State Public Service Commission Exams.

“Shocked and deeply anguished by the suicide of a 23-year-old girl student in Telangana, who reportedly took the drastic step to end her life due to repeated postponements and irregularities in the State Public Service Commission Exams,” Kharge said on X.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also criticised the government and said repeated postponement of examination was very “unfortunate and shameful”.

“The youth of Telangana are struggling with unemployment; their future is in darkness despite hard work and diligence. We all resolve to change these circumstances” she added.

A suicide note has been recovered in which the women tendered apology to her parents for being unable to do anything for them, the police officials said to reporters, says Times of India.
