Rajasthan Assembly Election: BJP To Knockout Congress In Rajasthan?

It Is getting closer to the declaration of the 2023 assembly election result of Rajasthan. The nail-biting competition between BJP and Congress is taking it to the seat edge. As per the official trend from Election Commission of India, BJP is having a clear majority against the outgoing Congress party. As per the latest data, BJP is leading with a total of 112 seats while Congress is behind with 71 seats.

Interesting factor about Rajasthan’s vote counting is apart from the mammoth parties, Congress and BJP, other smaller parties are also performing good. While Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLTP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has gained two and three seats, independent candidates has garnered a total of seven seats so far.

BJP is now leading in three states, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgrah so far. The wait is getting heavier for Congress whereas BJP is confident in gaining safe edge in all the three states.

Out of 200 constituencies in Rajasthan, voting took place only in 199 constituencies as the Election Commission adjourned the election in the Karanpur constituency. A total of 1,875 candidates are contesting the Rajasthan election. Rajasthan has 52,788,931 eligible voters, and it includes 2.2 lakh new voters. Women voters in the state are also a crucial factor, as out of the total eligible voters, 25.3 lakh are women.

The Rajasthan Assembly consists of 200 constituencies, and parties need 101 seats to form a government in the desert state. It is to be noted that the voting took place only in 199 constituencies as the Election Commission adjourned the election in the Karanpur constituency in Rajasthan, following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
