The results for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections will be announced today, February 8. Rohini constituency, one of the key battlegrounds in Northwest Delhi, is witnessing a fierce contest between BJP’s sitting MLA Vijender Gupta and AAP’s Pradeep Mittal.
The Rohini assembly seat has long been a stronghold of the BJP party, with Vijender Gupta representing the constituency for a decade. And the incumbent MLA is aiming for a hat-trick victory in this election. Meanwhile, the AAP candidate, Pradeep Mittal, is aiming to dismantle the stronghold of the BJP party by bringing back AAP after a decade.
So, as per the current electoral trends, Pradeep Mittal of the AAP party leads with 3,325 votes, whereas the sitting MLA Vijender Gupta of BJP is trailing with 3,187 votes.
In the 2020 Delhi elections, BJP’s Vijender Gupta emerged victorious by defeating AAP’s Rajesh Nama Bansiwala with a margin of 12,648 votes.
As one of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats, Rohini holds strategic importance in shaping the political landscape. With both parties aggressively campaigning, the results will play a pivotal role in determining the electoral direction in Northwest Delhi.
