Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Candidate Shankar Singh is leading ahead of BJP Randhir Kumar Singh with 5200 votes in Sarath Assembly elections 2024, currently.
In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Randhir Kumar Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Uday Shankar Singh of JVM by a margin of 28,720 which was 13.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 42.50% in 2019 in this seat.

In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Randhir Kumar Singh of JVM won in this seat defeating Uday Shankar Singh of BJP by a margin of 13,901 which was 7.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. JVM had a vote share of 33.78% in 2014 in this seat.
In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Sasank Shekhar Bhokta of JMM won in this seat defeating Uday Shankar Singh of INC by a margin of 9,420 which was 6.95% of the total votes cast for the seat. JMM had a vote share of 29.7% in 2009 in this seat.
