The exit poll result for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections predicted the return of Narendra Modi government for the third consecutive term. As per the prediction surveys, NDA would retain 300 plus seats.

The official results will be announced on June 4.

However, the opposition leaders of the INDIA bloc have rejected the projections of Exit Poll 2024 and said that the channels have instructions from the Prime Minister Office to run such numbers and these are psychological moves ahead of the announcement of the results by the Election Commission.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge ahead of the exit poll expressed confidence in winning minimum of 295 seats. Later taking on to X, he wrote, “This fight is on public issues. It is a struggle to protect democracy and the Constitution. Today in the INDIA Alliance meeting we discussed important issues and considered our future strategy. The real poll of the people will win, BJP’s fake Exit Poll will lose.”

Three-time AAP MLA Somnath Bharathi has challenged to shave his head if Modi comes into power for the third time. And he further asserted that the exit poll results will be proven wrong. “I will shave off my head if Mr Modi becomes PM for the third time. Mark my word!” he wrote on X.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav rejected the exit poll results as well and asserted that the INDIA alliance would win more than 295 seats. He claimed that the news channels by inflating the exit poll numbers are trying to favor those in power.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor called the exit poll results ‘unscientific’ and said that they would wait and see what the votes actually will reveal. Last year, the majority of exit polls got the results wrong in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan,” he added.

Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren said that they have assessed the poll reports from every state and the INDIA alliance would win more than 295 seats without any doubt.
