The major contenders in the Siwan assembly elections are Mangal Pandey from the BJP, Awadh Bihari Chaudary from RJD, and Intekhab Ahmed from Jan Suraaj. As per the early trends in the Siwan election vote count, Mangal Pandey of Bharatiya Janata Party is leading ahead of Awadh Bihari Choudhary of RJD by 1071 votes.

In the last Assembly Election held in 2020, Awadh Bihari Chudhary from the RJD won the Siwan seat with 54.42% of the total votes polled. The victory margin was 76785 votes over Om Prakash Yadav of the BJP.
