Paramvir Singh of the Congress party has won the Tohana constituency of Haryana in the assembly elections 2024 with a margin of 10,836 votes.
Defeating the former minister Devender Singh Babli, the Congress candidate secured 88,522 votes. Whereas the then sitting MP of the saffron party bagged 77,686 votes. Even though this constituency witnessed a multipolar contest among the BJP, Congress, AAP, and INLD, the main contest is between the BJP’s Devender Singh and the Congress’s Paramvir Singh.

Paramvir Singh has been a strong contestant of the Tohana constituency in its electoral history. He also won the 2005 and 2009 elections under the Congress ticket. And now, with this significant win, he has again brought the party back to the constituency.

In the 2019 election, Devender Singh Babli has contested on the JJP ticket and won the election, securing the highest number of 1,00,752 votes. His then-winning margin was the second-highest vote scored by any candidate in the state.
