Thiruvananthapuram: Following the conclusion of the polling process, VD Satheesan, the 11th Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, has issued a powerful message of gratitude and political intent, especially aiming at the efforts of his workers.

Satheesan, a seasoned politician who has represented the Paravur Assembly constituency since 2001, reached out to the “enlightened people of Kerala” to thank them for their participation in what he described as the “festival of democracy.”

Drawing from his extensive legal and political background, the Indian National Congress veteran hailed the vote as the “sharpest weapon in a democracy.” He extended a special salute to the UDF workers who spent days and nights on the front lines of the campaign, asserting that their dedication has laid the groundwork for the front to officially reclaim power in the state.

Satheesan’s confidence comes at a pivotal moment in his career. Born on May 31, 1964, in Nettoor, Ernakulam, and an alumnus of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences and the Kerala Law Academy, he has led the opposition since 2021 with a focus on grassroots mobilisation.
