Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, has once again come under the scanner for releasing a video of a guest making unverified claims. Author Sandeep Balakrishna claimed that a Malappuram village has a sign claiming non-muslims were discouraged from entering and only Islamic law applied in the area.

In Allahbadia’s The Ranveer Show, Sandeep Balakrishna, an author, made an outrageous claim wherein he stated, “There is a remote village in Malappuram in Kerala. (At) the entrance of the village, there is a huge signboard saying that this is an Islamic village; only Islamic law applies here. Non-Muslims are discouraged from entering here. Signboard in a village. It is on Indian soil under the rule of the Indian Constitution, subject to Indian laws.”

Calling out Balakrishna and Allahbadia, netizens were quick to criticise the video and its unverified claims. YouTuber and journalist Akash Banerjee, famously known as The Desh Bhakt, took to X (formerly known as Twitter), asking Allahbadia to utilise his resources and team to conduct basic fact-checking before posting such clips. He also asked, “Can you please ask your ‘guest’ to send me the location of this board? I will go and smash it down myself.”

When Allahbadia asked about whether the conversation was about history or about the Hindu-Muslim divide given the rising communal tensions in the country, Balakrishna said, “This has been the same narrative that was seeded about ten years after Independence that you should not talk about uncomfortable or unsavoury truths of Indian history because it’s going to offend only one community.” He also stated, “The Hindu side has always been on the defensive, or they have been responders to an unnecessary provocation.”

Sandeep Balakrishna has written two books titled “Tipu Sultan – The Tyrant of Mysore” (2013) and “Invaders and Infidels: From Sindh to Delhi: The 500-Year Journey of Islamic Invasions” (2020). He also runs a publishing platform called ‘The Dharma Dispatch’ where Balakrishna often writes articles including “There is Nothing to be Apologetic about the Manusmriti” and “A Glimpse of the Daily Routine and Life of a Brahmin Patriarch,” where he praises the “true Brahmin Patriarchy” and briefly criticises the “deracinated perverts” who want to “smash’ the concept.

Ranveer Allahbadia was recently awarded “Disruptor of the Year” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the National Creators Award 2024.
