Celebrity power couple Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and world class cricketer Virat Kohli have joyously shared the news of the arrival of their second child, a baby boy named Akaay, born on February 15. The couple took to social media to express their overflowing happiness and gratitude, inviting blessings and well wishes from their fans and followers.
In a heartfelt post, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma conveyed their immense joy at welcoming their newborn son into the world alongside their daughter, Vamika. The couple”s message exuded warmth and love, as they thanked everyone for their support while also appealing for privacy during this special time in their lives.
The post by the cricketer and the actress on social media read: “With abundant happiness and hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika”s little brother into this world. Earlier, India’s cricketing body BCCI had announced that Kohli had pulled out of the first two tests due to “personal reasons”. He had landed to join the squad in Hyderabad on the same day but flew back. There is no clear reason given by the board then for Kohli’s absence with their last statement mentioning: “Virat has spoken to Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors and has emphasised that while representing the country has always been his top priority, certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention.”
Meanwhile, as the fans were waiting for the return of former Indian captain to the former captain to the ground, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers had, in what he called “a false information” later, revealed (and also confirmed the rumours) that star India batter and his wife Anushka Sharma were expecting their second child.
