All The Malayali Actors In Vettaiyan
The much-hyped movie Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, hit the big screens on Friday. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajinikanth. The duo had reunited after 33 years.
Apart from the two legends, Vettaiyan had brought together an ensemble of Mollywood actors as well. Though the director TJ Gnanavel has promised the film to be much more than a star vehicle, the star-studded cast has carried the film’s message forward.

Mollywood stars including Fahadh Faasil, Sabumon Abdulsamad, Manju Warrier, Alencier and Abhirami have played pivotal roles in the film. Other familiar south Indian faces like Rohini, Kishore and Ramesh Thilak who have done considerable roles in Malayalam films are also in the movie.
Fahadh Faasil, renowned as one of the best and most unconventional actors in the Malayalam industry. Made his debut in 2002, Fahadh is now hitting out of the park with his characters ever since his re-entry into the industry. The unhinged Aavesham actor who had made yet another impactful performance in the film is now awaiting his latest release including Bougainvillea, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Karate Chandran.
Manju Warrier, known as the ‘Lady Superstar’ of Mollywood, has captivated audiences with her powerful portrayal of Rajinikanth’s wife in the much-anticipated film. While Rajinikanth’s role is receiving widespread acclaim, Manju Warrier’s impactful performance has also garnered significant praise. At 45, the actress had already made waves with her stunning look and energetic dance moves in the film’s song “Manasilayo,” setting the dance floors ablaze.
Sabumon Abdulsamad, popular Malayalam actor-comedian and Bigg Boss season 1 winner portrays the role of a villain character in the film. The director, during an interview revealed that, initially, they had considered a Bhojpuri actor for the role, however, after watching Sabumon’s praiseworthy acting in Jallikattu, the team decided to cast him in the film. Apart from Vettaiyan, he will soon be featured in other Kollywood movies including Yogi Babu’s Non-Violence and GV Prakash’s Kingston.
Abhirami, a veteran actress has made her comeback to the Tamil movie industry through Vettaiyan. Though the makers have remained tight-lipped about the details of her role, it has been disclosed that Abhitrami will be seen in the movie playing a serious role, a character named Swetha.
Mollywood actor Alencier Ley Lopez, renowned for his roles in Appan, Nna Thaan Case Kodu, and Ariyippu has made a brief yet impactful appearance in the film as well.
Renowned actress Rohini, who had enthralled audiences with her memorable performances is featured as Nazeema in the film. Actress Rohini is a revered name in the entertainment industry with her career spanning decades. The National Award winner has left the Malayali audience at awe many times with her performances in Gayathridevi Ente Amma, Midhya and Guppy.

Kishore, a multilingual actor who has starred in several Malayalam films including Kannur Squad will be portrayed in an intense role of a top cop. Kishore, who had made a name playing officers, dons the khaki yet again as Superintendent of Police.
Ramesh Thilak, a Tamil actor who has become a familiar face in the Malayalam industry through his acting Neram, Kooman, and 2018, too plays a prominent role in the film.
