Amitabh Bachchan Recalls How He Went From Delhi to Chandigarh In Cycle Searching For Admission

During the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recalled riding a bicycle from Delhi to Chandigarh in search of colleges. Mr. Bachchan was a science student and graduated from Delhi University in 1962.

During the show he revealed how he took up BSc due to lack of opportunity in many colleges. He even hit the road on a bicycle to Chandigarh for admission and how it did not worked out.

While interacting with one of the contestant, Shaikh Ajmat, Mr. Bachchan said, “I wasn’t getting admission and I was searching for colleges in Delhi. Someone told me that I would get admission in Chandigarh. So, I went to Chandigarh on a cycle. Later, after searching more I finally got admission in Delhi. I took Bsc and the first lecture was enough for me to understand that this isn’t my forte”.

He said he was “horrified” about the BSc. He said that, “it wasn’t easy. I took the wrong subject. Somehow I tolerated it for three years. I used to mug up all the answers in two months. At first, I even failed my physics exam. Then I appeared again and cleared it”.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 is the latest of the season of the show and out of the 15 season, Mr. Bachchan has hosted 14 of them. The third season was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. The show was first aired in 2000.

It has been more than five decades that Mr. Bachchan has started to entertain his fans. B-Town’s Big B worked in a mining company near Kolkata before he moved to Mumbai and started his career in acting in 1969. He is gearing up for his next movie named Kalki 2898 ad. The movie is helmed by Nag Ashwin and will hit the theatres in 2024. The movie also have Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in leading roles.
