Anant Ambani's Wedding Cruise At Italy's Portofino Angers Residents; Prompts Complaints
As media in India celebrates every glimpse coming out of the luxury cruise ship of the opulent wedding party of Anant Ambani, the son of the Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, a report from a UK media outlet says that the cruise pre-wedding party has prompted complaints to the police in Italy’s Portofino.
As part of the second pre-wedding bash of the couple Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, daughter of a prominent industrialist, a four-day cruise celebration through the Mediterranean sea, covering a scenic 4,380-kilometre journey from Italy to the South of France and back was hosted.

There are many high-profile guests, including Bollywood stars onboard the ship. Pictures from the wedding buzz inside the cruise at Italy’s Portofino has been coming out.
However, amid the buzz, the report showed that the cruise ship, after arriving at the port of Genoa in Italy with loud music, prompted police complaints from locals. The speakers of the blaring music reportedly frightened the residents to dial the police. The sound and disruptions till dawn angered the locals at the Portofino. The bash allegedly blocked off the bay routes, denying access to residents and other tourists. The port has been a famous destination for celebrity weddings. Though many high-profile weddings has taken place at Portofino, the port had never been closed for any event.

It was also reported that more than a dozen restaurants were offered around 10,000 euros to provide snacks for the guests. The second pre-wedding event was attended by many celebrities and high-profile guest in Italy’s Portofino.
The second wedding celebration that started on May 28 in Europe is a runner-up to the July wedding ceremony. The cruise event hosts around 800 guests. The first wedding bash was held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with many notable guests from across the world attending the party. The massive three-day pre-wedding bash had held from March 1 to 3, hosting approximately 1,200 guests with a variety of activities. The son of Asia’s richest man will be tying knot his would be Radhika Merchant in July.
