'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' And 'Singham Again' Banned In Saudi Arabia?

Two gigantic Bollywood releases are lined up for this Diwali: Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. While the two films gear up for their theatrical release on November 1 with promotions in full force, the two films faced a setback overseas, specifically Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom announced a ban on both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again due to two major and different reasons. The Rohit Shetty directorial, which boasts an ensemble cast featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, has been banned for its references to religious content, mentions of Ramayana, and themes of Hindu-Muslim conflict.

Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been barred for its references to homosexuality, which is prohibited in the Gulf region. The themes or references have not been revealed or hinted in the songs or trailer but could be key to the plotline.

The third installment of the classic Priyadarshan directorial, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, also has a star-studded cast including Triptii Dimri, Rajpal Yadav, Vidya Balan returning as Manjulika, and Madhuri Dixit in a special appearance.

A recent report revealed that Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy witnessed ten times more ticket sales than Ajay’s cop drama. According to a Pinkvilla report, shows of both the films will be split, with Singham Again taking 56 percent of the total showcasing and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 taking up 46 percent.

Despite the setbacks, the big clash has charged up fans who eagerly await to hit the theatres to meet Rooh Baba (and reunite with Manjulika) and Singham. Both films are ready for a Diwali dhamaka as they release on November 1. Who will emerge on top of the other remains to be seen.
