Don’t mistake this for a full movie review—though, let’s be honest, it could be. Why? Because in an epic 4:58-minute trailer (arguably the longest in Hindi cinema), Rohit Shetty has pretty much shown you all of Singham Again. Yes, in this cinematic universe, where DCP Bajirao Singham goes globetrotting (because who needs the Army when you’ve got Shetty’s cops?), you get a who’s-who of law enforcement—rumour has it even Chulbul Pandey might stop by.
In their boldness, the makers have spilled all the tea, including the plot. Ajay Devgn’s Singham faces a life-altering crisis when his wife, Avni Kamat (Kareena Kapoor Khan), is kidnapped. But, surprise! Singham has already made it clear in the trailer’s first 30 seconds that he’s gearing up for a full-on Ramayana re-enactment. No points for guessing who the “Lanka” is (Hint: Arjun Lanka, not Jackie Shroff’s Omar Hafeez). You might first start to think that the movie is going to the north and our north western neighbours to find the villains. But, this time, they can wait.
And yes, there’s a sea-crossing involved to rescue Avni. The Ramayana vibes are strong, and they couldn’t be more perfect with the Maharashtra elections around the corner.
Cue the usual: flying cars, insane fight scenes, and logic-free humour. But wait, new twist—there are more aircraft than cars flying this time. So, spoiler alert: if you plan to watch this trailer, leave your brain outside. Seriously.
For his mission, Singham ropes in his superhero squad: Ranveer Singh as ACP Simmba (Hanuman), Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya (Lakshman), and Deepika Padukone as SP Shakti Shetty. As the gravity-defying chaos escalates, Akshay Kumar’s DCP Sooryavanshi swoops in on a helicopter, naturally, guns blazing like a true Khiladi.
Who’s left? No one. The trailer gives you the whole shebang, Ram takes Sita home, and Lanka gets a thorough thrashing.
Rohit Shetty’s trademark “over-the-top, brain-optional” entertainment is everywhere in this trailer. With massive action sequences, slapstick comedy, and zero concerns about logic, Singham Again delivers exactly what Shetty fans expect. This time, though, he’s thrown in a Ramayana angle, maybe to appease critics who call his plots too simplistic. But fear not, it’s still Shetty—minimal thinking, maximum chaos.
