Bollywood veteran Madhuri Dixit is set to join the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 cast, a day after lead actor Vidya Balan joined the cast for the threequel of the horror comedy. As per a report in Mid-Day, the trio have joined the leading cast of Anees Bazmee”s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
“The team felt another spirit would add to the narrative. So, it will be Rooh Baba versus the two ghosts played by Madhuri and Vidya. By bringing the two leading ladies together for the first time on screen, the makers have played a trump card,” a source was quoted as saying in the report.
The film is set to go on the floor in March. However, although the lead actress is still not confirmed, it is speculated that Sara Ali Khan will replace Kiara Advani in the role. The reports mentioned that “the discussions are at a nascent stage. Nothing is confirmed yet.”
Balan, who played the role of “Manjulika” in the 2007 film is set to return to the franchise for its third part. Aryan had welcomed Balan on board on Monday, saying, “And its happening. Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaaSuper thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar”.
The lead actor also dropped an edited video of Vidya”s iconic visuals combined with the second part from the movie. Bazmee, the director of the second part, will continue to direct the third part. On expanding the franchise, producer Bhushan Kumar said, “The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise holds a special place in our hearts, and I”m very happy to be taking it forward with a creative mind like Anees and an incredible talent like Kartik. Together, we are set to deliver a cinematic experience that will both honor the legacy of the franchise and bring double the laughter and thrill for the audience.”
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan were at helm in the first part. The second part featured Tabu and Kiara Advani. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is slated to release in Diwali.
